Copper & Cask Cognac-Cask Finished Whiskey
Canadian — Alberta, Canada, Canada
Reviewed October 8, 2022 (edited December 26, 2022)This is a crazy whiskey! Aroma: honey, cacao, cinnamon, red fruit with a hint of white grape Taste: initially different from the aroma. Milk chocolate, very sweet on the front and takes a right turn on the mid palette with it being cinnamon candy almost like red hots. Finish is a lingering cinnamon that lasts for a long while. Overall: there is a lot going on, very unique and very complex. Not something I would drink frequently as it is more dessert forward but something that would be a lot of fun to share75.0 USD per Bottle -

Plantation single cask Jamaica 1998 22 years old (Binny's pick)
Aged Rum — Jamaica
Reviewed July 17, 2022Over ripe banana leads the way into bourbon notes of cherry and caramel with undertones of fig and molasses. You can definitely tell it was bourbon barrel aged. Extremely easy drinking and not as big of an oak bomb as I was expecting for nearly 23 years of aging, which to me is a good thing. It's not as funky as some Jamaican rum. Kind of reminds me of Foursquare a bit. Really enjoyable -
Aroma: ripened bananas, berry compote, vanilla and oak. Fantastic and robust nose! Flavor: There is a fair amount of bourbon influence at first but as it opens up a wave of tropical and stone fruit comes through then finishes with sweet oak, vanilla and a hint of baking spice. Excellent flavor, and has a decent finish (medium + length). One of my favorite rums of all time70.0 USD per Bottle
