Tastes

This teleports me to an old gentleman's club in 1930, being surrounded with aromas of Cuban cigars, peat, leather, wood, dried fruits and caramel. It's everything a whisky should be. Bold, rich and perfectly balanced.

Good showing from Knob Creek, could do with a slight note of sweetness in the aftertaste to balance out the burn.

Nothing shines, yet nothing is wrong. It's a good basic bourbon and not expensive. Good starting point for beginners.

More marketing than substance. Get some Buffalo Trace for half the price.

Simple bourbon, good for mixing or serving to someone who hasn't earned the better bottles.

Dried fruits, honey, caramel, slight tartness and burn on the way down. Overpriced unfortunately.

Sweet, caramel, dried fruits, some oak. A bourbon this cheap is not expected to be this good.
