Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot "B" 12 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 17, 2021 (edited October 22, 2021)I had the 12 with the 10, 15, and 20. The 12 year and 20 might have been our favorites. The 12 is like drinking a cloud. Light, smooth, and delicious. -
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 12, 2020 (edited May 13, 2020)This is the bourbon that converts non-bourbon drinkers. Every time I introduce Blanton’s to someone they become obsessed. Smooth and subtle with lots of delicious notes. You see this bottle you need to buy it.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Hancock's President's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 4, 2020 (edited June 5, 2020)Green Apple! When I first tried this bourbon I wasn’t a fan, but the more I sip the more I like it. It is growing on me. Hancock is probably the weakest for Mash Bill 2(Blanton’s, Elmer, Rock Hill, and Hancock) and the price is a little steep ($60) but I have definitely tasted worse bourbons that we’re more expensive.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 30, 2020 (edited May 13, 2020)This is a great bourbon that won’t break the bank depending on where you live. Found a $34 bottle at a BevMo in the Bay Area and was ecstatic considering in Los Angeles this bottle is usually over $50. If you can’t buy Pappy get Weller. The Antique is my fav.37.0 USD per Bottle -
Lots of heat and long finish that I wouldn’t describe as “smoothness” which it says on the bottle. I had a taste of dark berries at first, but after more sips I definitely taste corn with pepper. I prefer other higher proof bourbons over this like Russel’s Reserve or Craig. Do appreciate the 9 year statement and price.
