Very nice, versatile bourbon. Great on its own but also really nice in a cocktail or part of a mixer.

The first word that comes to mind for this one is robust. It’s malty and thick. It’s sweet and has a nice vein of vanilla running through the middle. In a lot of ways it’s very reminiscent of a bourbon.

Nice and light. The cognac influence is there but rather understated. It has a pretty quick finish. It’s nice but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Has a very inviting nose. Nice and sweet with traditional vanilla notes but also has a lot of influence from the red wine barrels that bring out notes of ripe red berries. Has a nice spicy finish as well.

I found the nose on this one to be a little off putting. That said, it’s really a beautifully crafted blended scotch. Its peaty with a good dose of maritime influence yet soft and smooth from the middle on with a nice fading finish.

It delivers on its name right from the start. It’s spicy and oaky but also pretty well rounded and has a nice medium long finish. Its almost reminiscent of a rye at times. The Clynelish component stands out for me. Would definitely recommend if you gravitate towards single malts from the highland region.

Warm and round with oak and red berries throughout. Has a nice long finish with more oak and baking spice. A very nice blended scotch!

Not bad for a blended scotch. Sweet, malty with a bit of orange peel with a little pith left on.

Nice malty dram with oak and sherry throughout.
