#4 prideful goat Color: 1.6 mahogany Nose: caramel, ethanol Taste: firey, sweet, caramel bomb, raisins, definitely high proof. Dry/bitterness as it transitions to a sweet medium length finish with a mettalic tang. Score: 87

#3 michters small batch Color: 1.5 Auburn Nose: heavy ethanol, touch of oak and vanilla Taste: pears, sweet, vanilla, silky. Fantastic. Score: 92

#2 Balcones texas single malt Color: 1.6 Mahogany Nose: plastic note (it kinda works) with nutmeg and cinnamon Taste: sweet, plastic note, with a lot of black pepper spice. Score: 84

#1 Woodinville rye Color: 1.4 Tawny Nose: caramel and cinnamon, hint of sherry Taste: heavy cinnamon, little black pepper but pretty weak flavor profile overall, sweet short finish with something a little rubbery at the end, but not off-putting. Score: 77
