Cimarrón Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed March 18, 2024 (edited April 22, 2024)A blanco tequila that i really enjoy. Very agave and floral forward. Sloghtly harsh but not too difficult by any means. Amazing as a mixer, but can be used to sip on if you prefer. -
Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed March 18, 2024 (edited May 2, 2024)Nose is really pleasant. Vanilla and oak are present. Palate is moslty vanilla, but oak and some light fruit like pear are present. Mouthfeel is really nice and probably the best part lf this bottle. Buttery and smooth with no real burn or harshness at any point. Finish is fast but the pear is a little more present here. Leaves me wanting more. Really solid Whiskey. -
Nose: Cherry is the thing i get most, with it leaning closer toward medicinal cherry. Palate: Cherry flavor translates but isnt as medicinal in quality, more like cherry candy. Oak and Vanilla are there in a supporting role. Finish: Short and the mouthfeel is relatively thin. Didnt get anything super amazing on it. Very easy to drink, and pleasant overall. Wouldnt mind having a bottle of this on hand at most times.

Old Forester Classic 86 Proof
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 18, 2024 (edited April 22, 2024)Just incredibly harsh all around on this. Smell mostly ethanol on the nose, palate was harsh. The common bourbon tasting notes are there but theyre overpowered by the taste or alcohol and ethanol which is surprising considering its only 86 proof. Couldnt finish my glass and wouldnt buy again.
