I added a few drops of water to it neat. It mellowed it out a bit, more to my liking. Heavy on the smoke and hints of vanilla for the palate, this one hits the spot for me.

It smells good, hint of spice and vanilla but when I tasted it neat, the spice was too overpowering for my palate. It would be good in a cocktail such as an old fashioned though.

Hint of vanilla is what I taste but super smooth and isn’t a kick in the face like most Bourbons. It’s really amazing.

The words of Anatoly Dyatlov sums this expression nicely, 3.6 (out of 5), “Not great...not terrible!” Subtle notes of vanilla and a smooth finish but compared to Nikka’s aged expressions...it’s just not the same. Cheers.

This blend has a smooth and even peat smoke taste. It’s not too overpowering and is perfectly balanced. Easy to sip on neat. I would drink again!

Easy to sip on whiskey. Notes of caramel and spice. Would recommend at least one or two tries.

Sweet but not super sweet. Notes of honey, vanilla, and caramel. I had this neat in my glencairn. It’s super yummy. If you can find it for a good price, add it to your collection.

Vanilla scents with a kick in your face bourbon taste of burning, fruits, and spice. Goes down smooth. A sophisticated sipping whiskey. Tasted it neat. Would recommend a try!
