Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 4, 2020 (edited July 25, 2020)Warm and inviting nose. Oaky and spicy smells with a slight hint of some caramel or maybe cream. The taste starts off strong with oak then opens up to some dried fruits, like cherries, fresh rye bread, and finishes long with oak and spices. Don’t kill be but it tastes a lot like Makers Mark. A knock off sure but hits a lot of the same notes. For the price of under $20 I love this bourbon. And pick it over Jim Beam bonded which I quite enjoyed. Will for sure be a sipper and can’t wait to try it in an old fashion! Cheers! -
Feel the burn baby. Oaky and sweet on the nose, warm and inviting. The taste is trip. Those cinnamon ball candies with an emphasis on the cinnamon and oddly enough some sweet tobacco, reminds me of my days dipping long cut. This one goes very well with a cap or 2 or water mixed in. Tones down the burn and transforms to a wonderful sweet whiskey, cinnamon, sweet corn, and switched the emphasis on the cinnamon candies to the candy! And at the price I would not walk past this

Big Spring Spirits American Blended Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Pennsylvania, USA
Reviewed February 1, 2020Musky and young. Almost maple syrup sappiness on the nose with corn and whole wheat bread. The alcohol isn’t overbearing on the palette, but it tastes mostly of creamed corn. Would love to take a trip to this distillery this was a delightful surprise -
Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 30, 2019 (edited December 31, 2019)My new favorite bourbon. Delicate, sweet and flowery on the nose. Impossibly smooth up front creamy, sweet and fruity. The finish is long spicy rye and oaky with hints of dark chocolate and cocoa. Incredible bourbon -
Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky
Single Grain — Western Cape, South Africa
Reviewed December 4, 2019 (edited June 6, 2022)Got this because it was different and it was on sale, but was pleasantly surprised. Rich, smooth, sweet. Caramel up front and a wonderful creamy and oaky finish. Just a smooth sipper corn whisky and a new favorite mid I’m looking for a pleasant sip.
