Admittedly I'm new to rum but this one seems odd. Other members on the shelf right now are Cacique Anejo and Capt. Morgan Dark. BCN is sweet to start and bitter to finish, in very rapid succession. I have not found a happy mixer for rum yet, to my tastes, and guess this would be better served drowned in something sweet with its own dominating flavour. Straight it's a bit nasty really, on ice bearable. I wouldn't buy another and may well donate the bottle I have.

Surprisingly rough and ragged. Aroma is a fruity, honey, nutty mix. Taste is a spicy, petrol tinged slap that disappears to nothing at all very quickly. Add a little water or on the rocks and it becomes rather smoother, allowing the flavours to balance better, albeit momentarily. I'd rather drink the cheaper Bells or Famous Grouse than this!33.0 USD per Bottle
