Tastes

Definitely rich and oily. Vanilla and oak are evident. Added a little water to cut the bite and am enjoying it a lot.

It’s not a straight bourbon and perhaps that explains why the taste seems “off” and less refined. It has an earthy taste to me, and on the nose it has oak, vanilla, and old leather shoe. I wanted to like a Texas bourbon, but this one is difficult to like.

Like better than the Angel’s Envy. Still relearning to taste things after Covid a few months back. Pairs well with Raspberry chocolate.
