Great bottle to have on a shelf... makes you look like someone who deals with big problems in life... it tastes great. Very herbal, spicy.. not too synthetic-y.. overall, a great choice. The kind of purchase that would get you a ‘thumbs up’ upon checkout. Buy it, you’ll like it.77.0 CAD per BottleMontreal

Bozal Mezcal Espadín-Barril-Mexicano
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed June 6, 2020 (edited August 4, 2020)I’m not gonna lie, the bottle adds more to this Mezcal’s appeal than what’s inside. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s a good mezcal. It goes down nicely, and don’t leave much of a mark. Tasting notes? It smells synthetic (like rubber).. it’s a little spicy on the way down, and a little hint of citrus... and nothing more. One thing is for sure though, it’s definitely not smoky! Still a 4/5 though.. but if you’re staring at it, and the Tobische next to it, definitely pick the blue bottle instead. -
It’s very smooth ... like Enrique Iglesias on a first date.. It’ll go down easy.. it’s sweet, but you won’t feel a thing.. I can’t say it’s memorable.. yeahhhh... It’s an okay mezcal, but I wouldn’t recommend it.. but hey! It’s cheap enough to give it a shot. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth in good times.39.75 CAD per BottleMontreal

Mezcal Marca Negra Espadín
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed June 5, 2020 (edited October 1, 2021)This mezcal smells like the love child of a retired racing tire and a can of petroleum, the low-in-ethanol kind. It tastes... surprisingly good. I mean, it’s definitely powerful, and it has a long palate.. you actually feel it in the back of your throat, much after you’ve taken that sip. It coats your tonsils.. and lingers on, just in case you forgot you it. Slightly sweet.. I wouldn’t say it’s smoky, but it’s a little briny.. but it’s good. To put it differently, if you gave it as a gift, you’d make friends.84.5 CAD per BottleMontreal -
Bozal Mezcal Tobasiche
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed June 5, 2020 (edited December 7, 2021)This is gewwwd... which btw is much better than ‘good’. The bottle looks sick, unless you’re into liquor-in-skull-shaped-bottle kinda person (in which case, you’re an aristocrat and this app is way beneath you).. and the taste is seriously respectable. The kind that you’d serve to someone to turn them into Mezcalites. Taste notes? It’s smoky for sure, and with a noticeable scent of tobacco... it’s also complex, not the kind with the overpowering taste of alcohol (even if that baby is 47%). It’s also sweet and a little tangy at the end. Bottom line: if you’re standing in front of the shelves looking at it, buy it and go with god my friend!131.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
Pierre Ferrand Ambre Cognac
Cognac — Grande Champagne, France
Reviewed April 28, 2020 (edited December 9, 2020)Alright... this is a very good piece. If you’re comparing it with another cognac on the other hand, pick this one. It’s smooth AF... fresh... sweet with a hint of cherry... a little zesty... it’s good stuff. The kind of drink you’d serve to people you want to see again.Montreal -
Bro, save your money. This bottle is good for shooting, and by that I mean shooting target... I mean, it’s much better than Jack Daniels, but if you’re the kind to mix it with Coke (in which case, not sure why you have this app), then this bottle is for you.. as is JD. Tasting notes: diluted.. watery.. flat.. good for shots, and I’m being generous.Montreal

Michel Couvreur Cap a Pie
Blended Grain — Distilled in Scotland, Aged in Bourgogne, France
Reviewed April 21, 2020 (edited July 3, 2020)If you’re reading this, you’re probably not fact-checking the distillery and chances are you’re not an expert at this. Maybe you like the bottle, or you got it as a gift. In any case, here’s what you need to know: This is a rare kind of blend. These bottles are not always available, which makes them unique to get. Tasting notes: this is a very smooth whiskey. It has a clear ‘buttery’ foretaste and a long lingering palate. It’s definitely not sweet, floral, or fruity. This whistle carries nice salty undertones. Pairs well with (good) olives. A great bottle honestly. If you find it on the shelves, buy it. It’s well worth the money.103.0 CAD per BottleMontreal -
Cognac Park Borderies Mizunara Oak Finish
Cognac — Borderies, France
Reviewed April 16, 2020 (edited September 13, 2020)If you’re reading this, chances are you’re not a connaisseur, but I do applaud you for being adventurous! So here’s what you need to know: This is a harsh cognac. Very spicy and has a long-lasting taste. It does have subtle cherry and honey notes, but the long-lasting ‘harshness’ cannot be understated. I would definitely not describe this as ‘round’, ‘smooth’ or in any way ‘soft’. Not the kind of cognac you’d want to have again in one evening, unless you’re into the ugly-face-raspy-voice combo, in which case this cognac is for you.117.0 CAD per BottleMontreal
