Pleasant peaty nose. Smoky, malty, and peaty. Alcohol kick comes on strong in the finish; tastes young considering the harsh finish.

Sweet nose with a bit of citrus zest. More caramel than expected on the tongue and less of the typical rye spiciness.

Strong alcohol and wood on the nose. Feels aggressive for 86 proof. Pleasant body/mouth feel. Vanilla and fruit (banana?) give way to spiciness from the rye. Doesn't start or end well, but the middle is pleasant.
