Light and flowery on the nose with a hint of clove. Smooth and soft entry with immediate sweet honey and vanilla with a kick of spices from clove cinnamon and anise. A mild reminder of vanilla mixed in and a short finish. Doesn’t linger much on the palette and very approachable. Worth a try especially if you like speyside and sweeter milder highlands

Glen Fohdry 21 Year Làn-abaich Single Malt
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed July 8, 2020 (edited January 2, 2021)Good nose with lemon cinnamon, leather and mild oak notes. Palette entry is smooth with orange peel and a rounded feel. Let down entirely by the finish which has an unusually sharp sting for a 21 and a strange late peat on the end which is completely unexpected and not quite in jive with the rest of the profile. The blend crowd will like this a lot more than the single malt folks. -
Glenmorangie 18 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 4, 2020 (edited April 24, 2020)Gentle and inviting nose with mild orange and hint of sweetness . Taste starts with an utterly brilliant round full and soft caress to the tongue with lovely citrus and caramel flavors followed by a neat burn free smooth finish with mild oak. If I must pick on it for something there is a slight lingering taste after the finish which is not as refined as the rest of the experience and hence gives away its age. End of the day it’s right up there at this price point. A must try -
