Sweet and spice compliment each other throughout the tasting. A very nice balance which I enjoyed thoroughly. Thanks for sharing @BrownTownBlaschy

Forty Creek Heritage
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed December 6, 2019 (edited December 14, 2019)I really like Canadian whiskey and this one did not disappoint. When tasted neat, I enjoyed the full buttery/toffee flavor and oiliness which was very calming. Finished smooth and sweet with a hint of spice. This one is going on my x-mas list. -
Maybe I’m just a rookie but I do not have the pallet to enjoy this one even the least bit. My apologies to anyone who likes this stuff but I might quit drinking after tasting this. Just kidding, there’s still plenty of good bourbon out there to enjoy. Currently cleansing my pallet with some cheap Canadian whiskey, yum!!!

Not overly complex the fruity notes are pleasant. Initially sweet then the spice hits. Not bad at all on the rocks. Nothing special here but you cant beat price of $28 for a 1.75L This stuff is always good to have for backup and for sharing whenever your friends that drink too much come over.28.0 USD per Bottle

When tasted neat: Smooth through the whole tasting. Really no heat or any spice with this which seems lacking. I definitely sensed the woody/oak aromas with a slight bit of cherry/sugar smooth finish. When tasted on rocks: about the same, very smooth flavorful but could use a little more kick to increase the complexity. I would purchase again just because it was a good price and overall was an enjoyable bourbon.30.0 USD per Bottle

Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 18, 2019 (edited December 25, 2019)I found this one to be very upfront with oak spicy/hot throughout the tasting though it be claims to be more on the sweet/smooth spectrum. Not my favorite and still managed to finish a bottle over the course of a few nights. Only complaint being the tasting I experienced conflicted with the story on the bottle. -
Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 15, 2019 (edited November 19, 2019)125 proof shines when tasting neat. The spice is felt the whole way through. (Drink while skiing - the gondola gobbler) On the rocks the spice mellows a bit in the beginning but spice hits middle through finish. I would drink again but probably not purchase for my own enjoyment unless planned on sharing it with a few friends. (125 proof!!!) -
Cooper's Daughter Black Walnut Bourbon
Flavored Whiskey — New York, USA
Reviewed November 1, 2019 (edited July 11, 2021)Tasted neat: a little spice up front, a little sweet, nutty, and smooth on finish with a hint of spice at the very end. Taste lingers a little and is a bit sweet. Drank on the rocks: the spice is gone leaving only the smooth slightly sweet nutty flavor. The walnut syrup barrels cannot be missed here if you’re a fan of sweeter taste. Would definitely drink during and after a meal but would probably end up with an empty bottle by the end of the night. Very nice!70.0 USD per Bottle
