Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2020 (edited September 2, 2020)I Just got into scotch a few weeks ago. This has been one of my favorites. Its rich, oily, and sweet/smooth/fruity. Very mild on the smokiness which I enjoy. Its Probably the bourbon American oak cask aging that speaks to me. I will definitely be drinking/buying again. -

Journeyman Distillery Corsets, Whips & Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Michigan, USA
Reviewed January 28, 2020First sip spice hit me hard but it definitely mellowed out after the 3rd sip and I kind of missed the heat from the first taste. I did enjoy the sweetness of the finish. I would purchase this for my collection but it probably wouldn’t last long. -
Tasted neat and it was a bit harsh. Once I put a rock in it I was able to appreciate the strong peat up front followed by a complex finish. Lots of lingering flavor but not bad at all. This is something I would add to my collection for occasional drinking or for guests who appreciate peaty scotch more than I do. Thanks For the introduction @hennynme

Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 16, 2020I’m not much into Scotch but tasting this one has pushed me to explore more beyond the world of bourbon. The smokiness was not overwhelming and balanced well with the spice and fruitiness. I will be researching more scotch for sure. Thanks for the introduction @kirkgnomics
