dark sticky fruit, with citrus tart nose. oily, sweet, dark fruit like raisins, apricots, honey, chocolate, malt finish. very similar to glengoyne 12 which may be a little simpler but tastier. water brings out a yeasty meatier smell, less dark fruit taste and more wood and metallic

rich chocolatey woody nose with sweet dark fruit like yellow and black raisins, prunes, brown sugar, old leather. long finish that's sweet. with water the nose is more cereal with coconut and taste oily and honey.

balanced flavor with sweet and just enough smoke to taste but not to offend the new scotch palate. sometimes i think i pick up sweet green pepper. very pleasant scotch that i would recommend for a new scotch drinker

Light nose of caramelized sugar and taste of sweet cereal and finishes with a green mineral flavor such as with glenfiddich 12

buttery nose with sweet, honey fruit, and light peat

nose is light notes of caramelized sugar and fruit. taste barely a hint of peat, could be imagining it, finishes pretty quickly with a mineral taste that reminds me of glenfiddich 12

creamy buttery nose. light peat with honey soaked fruit and cereal

tasted this against Jim Beam black and Evan Williams. surprised by how it had a ketone taste like acetone in nail polish remover compared to the other two. It had a stronger pleasant nose in comparison but couldn't enjoy with the ketone taste. I'm a chemist so I'm familiar with acetone. I wasn't crazy about the this bourbon the first time i tried it and I like it less now. This bottle will stay in the liquor cabinet until a friend wants to drink it.
