GlenDronach Revival 15 Year (2009-2015)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 25, 2015A dessert scotch if ever there was one. Very good with a powerful, sweet complexity. If you like this, give the Balvenie 15 (Sherry) or any of the Glenfarclas lineup a try. -
Oban 14 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 23, 2015 (edited October 12, 2015)This was the first Whisky I bought to try neat on the recommendation from a good friend. Great all-arounder, not to much smoke, not too sweet, not too spicy. Good dram. Try Highland Park 12 or Old Pulteney 12 if you enjoy this. -
Balvenie Single Barrel Sherry Cask 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 23, 2015 (edited December 31, 2016)I really enjoy this. Quality with an obvious tilt to sherry. Let it sit for a while and the oak characteristics enrich and become cinnamon, spice, and vanilla. A fine dram indeed. If you like this, give Glendronach's Revival (15yr) or Allardice (18yr) a try. -
Lagavulin Distillers Edition
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 23, 2015 (edited March 8, 2017)Complex Islay. Smoke, sweet, lovely. My all-time favorite. If you like it, try Ardbeg's Perpetuum.
