Chai Tea.

This is a quintessential Kentucky cask strength rye. The nose was a little muted on the first crack. So I will revisit the nose at a later time. The palate is deep, dark, and rich. It lingers on the palate with all the wonderful rye notes, coupled with dark caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, and a nice chocolate sweetness. Mint and dill show up on the front of the palate. The texture is velvety and viscous. I will definitely use a few pours to experiment with some cocktails. It definitely does not deserve the bad press that it is getting!!!

Balmorhea and Lone Elm SiB Wheat Whiskey are my favorite Texas whiskies! In no particular order.

Could pass on this bottle at $16.99+tax. The review is definitely on the way.
