Rich combination of oak and nuts

If drinking neat, best to let this air out for 5 to 10 minutes. Rich spicy vanilla with oak. Nice interesting finish for me that has a vanilla float quality.

It needs ice or a splash or two of water. Having said that warm spices on the nose, with spicy vanilla on the palate and a warm finish.

Spicy oak on the nose and palate with hints of vanilla and caramel. A bit of heat for the finish. Certainly enjoyable but me thinks it's a tad overpriced

I truly enjoy this. For me it's best neat and I feel the reviewer has it right it is musty in a good old school way. Very rich and a full mouthful of spices with orchard fruit and smoky vanilla and the burn at the end is perfect almost like an exclamation point. I love all the Old Forester offerings.

Spicey caramel on the nose. Vanilla, more spice and brown sugar on the palate that keeps on going for the finish. So great for the price point. The Russells always deliver.

Smooth rye and spice with fruit and oak . Anything I've had that Jimmy and Eddie Russell do is superb and this is at a bargain of a price point.
