Glencairn, 1/2 teaspoon water, rested 15 minutes Nose: cornbread, vanilla, caramel Palate: butter and caramelized sugar with a big wave of heat following Finish: long oily finish and as the sweetness fades I get the butter coming back blending into a custard Overall: it's good, a bit more sweet than prefer, but the long punchy finish more than makes up for it.

Nose: so much apple in this, toffee, and vanilla notes Palate: green apple, cinnamon, caramel, and oak Finish: medium long finish, as the green apple starts to fade the caramel and cinnamon spice become more pronounced tasting like a fancy candied apple Overall: not an extreme amount of nuance, but exceedingly pleasant. The green apple throughout this is surprising and fresh. This is my favorite bottle of ER to date. Once my wife has a sip of this it will be hard to keep it around.

Glencairn, neat, rested none Nose: buttered popcorn, caramel Palate: cream corn, butter, figs, yeast, and rye grain Finish: medium long rye spice hug all surrounded by wet straw Overall: Bad, but a lot of fun to drink next to eagle rare and see how this mash can evolve.

Glencairn, neat, rested 5 minutes Nose: bananas, some other fruit and honey, but mostly bananas Palate: Bananas again with some slight ethanol, it feels thick but tastes bright and light, very pleasant Finish: here is where it all comes together, as the banana taste starts to fade the sweetness rises up making me think of banana pudding. Overall: the best value scotch I've found and the summer vibes from this are great right now.

Glencairn, neat, 10 minute rest Nose: spice, honey, orange peel Palate: honey and some herbal flavors on the front moving to the rye spice I expect on the end Finish: Light pepper, mint, and sweetness Overall: It's a little simple and a little too sweet, but very good for the price and availability.

Nose: brown sugar, vanilla Palate: brown sugar with a little oak and nuttiness, there is a lot more going on here but all I can pick out is that I like what's happening Finish: long with some pleasant cinnamon burn staying until the end
