The single grain (corn, of course) is Reservoir’s signature and they really deliver on the higher priced bottles. This particular bottle has grown on me but still a bit too much bite for such a low proof. Some light vanilla on the nose and again on the palate (not much else) and the finish becomes a little smoother after each sip. For a $35-40 bottle, there are plenty of others I’d buy over this one. But as a Richmonder, it’s nice to support local businesses.

Weller Full Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 31, 2023 (edited September 30, 2023)A lot of green apple on the nose and such a killer palate (admittedly can’t identify what I’m tasting but wow) with a smooth finish that lasts just long enough. I wouldn’t pay $350 on the secondary market but if you can get it at market or close to it, don’t hesitate!52.0 USD per Bottle -
The nose is very vanilla forward with some leather and smoke hanging behind. The palate was surprisingly leathery, almost like a single malt with more of the signature bourbon notes. The finish lingers on the tongue and has a slight but pleasant burn. This bottle is from a Virginia ABC Barrel Pick event.64.0 USD per Bottle

Early Times Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 26, 2022 (edited February 8, 2023)Sweet vanilla on the nose. A bit of heat on the palate but it disappears quickly and brings more of the vanilla. A really solid pour for the price.
