Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013
Single Malt — Islay , Scotland
Reviewed January 13, 2023 (edited January 12, 2024)Intense. Complexity is not apparent without about 12 drops of water and 20 min airing. Warm up with a sweet or lightly peated dram, first. Not at all sweet, but earthy with a slight funk on the smell and light brine and vanilla on the taste.75.0 USD per Bottle -
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 15, 2020 (edited February 18, 2020)Just picked up a new bottle, always great to have on hand in the cabinet. 50% Abv, with pleasant subtle burn as it rest on the tongue and tails off. Very pleasant as neat. A few drops of water (but not too much) expands the flavor a bit. Bright with Apples, Vanilla, Citrus, and a slight brine and botanicals as you absorb the taste and smell. No smoke or peat, this is a light - medium whiskey for me. But if Caol Isla, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, aren't frequent for you, then maybe you'll pick up those hints.55.0 USD per Bottle
