Maestro Dobel Diamonte Tequila
Distiller Score 80
The aroma is roasted agave all the way, very sweet and cloying. Rich Turbinado syrup, notes of melon and caramelized pineapple were found on the palate which then leads to raisins and figs. The finish shows a bit of licorice but more on the sweet side like Good & Plenty candies.

Casa Noble Crystal Tequila
Distiller Score 84
Casa Noble Crystal tequila packs quite a punch, with a rustic and intensely floral nose. The palate has very strong notes of vanilla leading to almost an aloe flavor. The finish is smooth and nutty similar to almond butter. Drinkable and affordable, it makes a margarita with a delicate fruitiness without being cloyingly sweet.

Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
Distiller Score 95
For a young tequila this has the weight and depth of something more mature. It's very fruity, with flavors of yellow peach, mangos, grapefruit peel and yellow bell peppers tinged with vanilla. It also has a pleasant spicy kick of black pepper, nutmeg and a faint whiff of smoke. This is a truly elegant sipping tequila.

Corazón Reposado Tequila
Distiller Score 84
The fruit-driven nose of the reposado shows much more vanilla that their blanco tequila. The undertone of white pepper is also less pronounced here. It is a very smooth sipper that finishes with notes of Marcona almonds. Mix with a quality tonic over ice on a hot summer day!

Cabo Wabo Añejo Tequila
Distiller Score 82
For people who like sweet versions of añejo, this is for you! The fruit flavors are a lot more tropical than the blanco and reposado expressions, with some added orange blossom. There's a veritable candy store of vanilla, honey, cocoa and sweet Christmas spice here.

Pasote Tequila Blanco
Distiller Score 93
This tequila is loaded with cooked agave from aroma to finish. The aromas display rich cooked agave, citrus, and the fruit aromas are rich with a minerality that is difficult to separate until you taste it. The flavors begin with a soft, clean sweetness that shows the agave and highlights bright minerality, creamy stone fruit, cracked pepper, and briny complexity. The rich mouthfeel is a revelation to intricate balance that continues all the way through the excellent finish. This is fantastic traditional tequila.

Distiller Score 89
Siembra Azul Blanco is aromatically exciting. A little musty but full of spice, black pepper, brine, fresh banana, rubber band, beeswax and vitamin C powder. The flavors are very enticing: earthy and sweet with notes of parsnip, sugarcane, pineapple, pear and hints of herb. Overall a very impressive, fruit driven, well-balanced tequila.

Tequila Ocho Plata "Las Pomez" 2009
Distiller Score 84
This Plata is super green, with a very distinct aroma of un-cooked agave. Lemon zest and a touch yellow pepper were also found. The palate is quite sweet and floral. This sweetness is akin to lightly caramelized honey with a touch of cinnamon. The finish shows a little spearmint. Overall, this tequila is easy drinking and enjoyable for both novice and expert alike. Won't break your bank if you are compelled to buy shots for everyone at the bar.

Mucha Liga Bravo Blanco Tequila
Distiller Score 88
Bravo has a tough, brawny exterior, but his tequila exhibits a soft, cuddly quality. Aromas and flavors of orange blossom and pastry-spice mix with creamy vanilla and a solid, mineral backbone for balance. Agave flavors are quite mellow and rich for a blanco, which goes down dangerously smooth. Perhaps the lucha libre move here is slow and deliberate, as it would be quite easy to sip too much of this.

Herencia Mexicana Añejo Tequila
Distiller Score 91
This tequila presents a rich and dense character that is evident from the moment you smell it. A culmination of milk chocolate or perhaps Tootsie Roll, allspice, bananas foster, caramel, butterscotch and brown butter. The flavor is sweet and lush, but surprisingly bright and gentle with cinnamon toast, clove, charcoal and a hint of lemon zest. All the markers of a Highland tequila graciously taking on the characteristics of intense wood aging.

Tequila El Mayor Añejo
Distiller Score 84
Additional oak aging pays off in a nose of caramel and vanilla, with the sweet characteristics displayed in the additional notes of fruit compote and roasted agave. Though lighter than many of its añejo contemporaries--and better at retaining its essential agave-ness than most, there's more body and oiliness here than in El Mayor's younger product lines, and the finish retains some fruit while suppressing spice and heat.
