1792 Aged Twelve Years

Smells of rich carmel sweet. Smooth in the mouth and down the throat. A little tingle in the middle of the tongue. Tastes like it smells; sweet rich carmel. Long lingering after taste of sweetness with a little wheat.

You get this one’s extra age right away on the nose. The oak is very prominent, but then sweeter notes of strawberry and banana finish it off. Very pleasant. The palate is rich and creamy, but not as sweet as other 1792 expressions. Very oaky, as you’d expect from the age. I wish the finish was longer, but that’s the only big problem I have with it.
