Nose: Dark fruit, strong cherry, caramel, brown sugar, and vanilla.
Palate: oak, spice, fruit, and vanilla sweetness. Nice long finish, barrell tannins come through at the end.
Overall: To preface this review, 1792 is my favorite line of bourbon. This 12 year is reinforcing my love for this brand, but in a different way. Typically I am expecting high rye clasic notes for small batch and bannana forward for single barrell or BIB. This 12 year is dark fruit forward and delicious. I like how this has a unique taste compared to the other brand expression. Highly reccomend.
