This is my lowest ranking full proof bourbon, for my palate this is just too many things all at once. I don't hate it by any means however there are many bottles that get picked up first barrel proof or otherwise. Maybe I'm being harsh but I can't imagine this would best a Stagg jr, ECBp, Larceny Bp, OF Bp in a blind.
Drinking neat: Smell of honey and cinnamon candy. Flavor sticks around a bit. Really pronounced woody taste in the finish. Pronounced bite, burns substantially. Not very oily, has a dry finish as well. Mouth completely numb from tasting.
This has to be the highest proof that I’ve had in a long time. On the front end it gives you a nice light and toffee note but ole boy the end is a serious alcohol burn. The end doesn’t match the beginning. This is a good bourbon for an ole fashioned due to its ability to balance the burn.
Buttery toffee aroma with notes of caramel and sweet syrup.
Taste starts sweet and mellow. Middle taste brings on the alcohol rasp and warmth of a full proof bourbon. Finishes sweet and warm

Glad I'm not the only one to taste banana in this. Lovely switch from BT and HH offerings. I suggest re-visiting the bottle for review after it's been open for a few months...if your's lasts that long.
