1800 Tequila Silver
Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
The name derives from the year that the category of tequila was officially recognized as a spirit, and the bottle shape is an homage to the ancient Mayan pyramids of Mexico. Their silver tequila is made from agave picked at 8 - 12 years old at harvest and double-distilled. A selection of unaged tequilas with different characteristics are then blended together for the final batch.
Tequila BlancoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is typically unaged , clear, and bottled straight after distillation. Sometimes rested in stainless steel up to 60 days and can also be aged in wood for no more than 30 days.
"This tequila rests solidly in the middle of the road. There's nothing terribly distinctive in its sweeter vegetal flavors, nor does it offend with any sort of ferocity of spice or alcoholic finish. It's basically one of the Top-40-station’s-greatest-hits of tequila offerings - maybe you don't want it every day, but fun every once in a while if it happens to be on."
