896 8 Year Rum

An elegant Rum from Barbados that has an aromatic birth with notes of cane sugar, wood, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of caramel & vanilla; that led to a balanced death of medium length. June 2016 / 2017

My first impression as it hit the tongue was that this is spicy. As I let it sit for a moment I get an oak flavor that turn to vanilla as the rum goes down. What a treat this is to be sipped on the rocks. I’m not sure that this will go into many mixed drinks, it is delicious straight
