Aberlour Casg Annamh (Batch 1)

Has a floral note and liquorice after taste

Feels young, vibrant and very oaky. This whisky has a character,. But it is too pungent for my taste. Nose: fresh, citrusy, baking spices. Some sherry sweetness. Some alcohol. Palate: sweetness for a second, then oak and pungent spices. Aftertaste: wood and some nuts.

Sweet and fruity on the nose, but with plenty of spice. The finish was medium with a kick of heat. A decent whisky, but I'm not in love with it. "Good" : 2.75 stars | Good, just fine.
