Aberlour Casg Annamh (Batch 1)

Deeper than the 12 and 14 yo, full body, soft nose (considering the 48ABV) but losing a little of the red-fruit character of its younger expressions

I personally think most negative reviews on this product come from Scotch aficionados. I’m a bourbon guy at heart and I deviate into Scotch and Irish just to keep things interesting. And I love this Aberlour expression! It’s got a nice lingering heat, and a good balance of rich sweet and dry flavors. I really like this and feel other bourbon drinkers wanting to dip their toes in sherried Scotches would enjoy this too. It’s not delicate. Neither am I.

Solid value at price paid. Sherry, nutty nose with honey and some fruity notes. On palate, lots of sherry, very sweet and oak is present. Some burn on the finish, but also a lingering sherry note.

Viel Frucht, aber leider kommt hinten raus ein wenig der Alkohol durch, wodurch er sehr jung wirkt.

Sweet vanilla, rich, peppery finish

It’s a nice scotch, but way too sweet and young for me. A total sherry bomb. I like the bite though.
