J.P. Wiser's and the NHL Alumni Association (NHLAA) have partnered to create regionally exclusive whiskies. Each one has a unique blend designed to pair with the playing styles of each hockey player honored with a bottle. Guy Lafleur's whisky is "smooth" and made from 100% corn. It aged for 10 years then finished in Speyside, bourbon, and rum barrels. Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to NHLAA to support their philanthropic ambitions. Exclusive to Canada.

DISTILLED IN CANADA AND AGED IN BARRELS FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS; OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) CANADIAN WHISKIES ARE BLENDS OF CORN, BARLEY, AND RYE WHISKIES WHICH WERE DISTILLED AND MATURED SEPARATELY. TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.

Tasting Notes

"Lafleur’s blend stacks corn whisky notes including vanilla, caramel, honey and soft oak integrated into a fused flavor profile. These flavor contours glide effortlessly into an easy drinking palate of sweet corn cobs, husks and delicate oak. This whisky’s traditional Canadian corn whisky tones display refinement before a spice burst soaked with rum raisins breaks away into a glowing finish of barrel spices. "
