After aging at least 2 years in French oak wine barrels, 60% straight malt whiskey and 40% hop-flavored whiskey distilled from IPA beer are married together and aged another 2 years in Chardonnay barrels. Amador Whiskey Co. is owned by Trinchero Family Estates, who supplies the Chardonnay barrels from Napa Valley.
