Nose is malt musty up front with peat behind. As the dram sits the mustiness fades and the peat comes forward. Some occasional cereal notes. The palate is more cereal and peat, with brown sugar and malasses. The finish is exeptional. Smokey brown sugar in oatmeal that lasts for days. Some water makes the nose more malty and sweet and brings some very savory complexity to the palate. My first taste of Indian whisky and I look forward to trying some without the Scotch blended in! Either way, a really great and interesting pick for the price.
