Nose has notes of rye, cloves, anise, allspice, caramel, fig, apple, and port. Palate is sweet and rich, with a long, relatively complex finish. Very nice whiskey, and would like to try more from Amrut.
Sweet honey and some floral notes on the nose. Smooth whisky, rounded caramel qualities, lots of spice and good fruit (almost banana qualities?), Smokey notes too. Full flavour, long smooth aftertaste.
Nose - ripe bananas, caramel and light smoke, like banana foster, a bit of sour cherry, a touch of tobacco
Taste - smoke and a bit of wet ash up front, chocolate and banana, some citrus after a few drops of water the smoke fades and sweeter caramel and vanilla notes come forward
Finish - sweet fades to smokey, and bit drying on the younger but lingers nicely, mild burn

This is a full bodied malt that shows its viscosity by coating the glass. It has a sharp malt flavor and gives off some sweet vanilla and nutMeg. There is a faint earthy peat on the nose that comes out on the finish. It’s a nice change of pace compared to the smoke and sherry bombs exploding all over maltville. I’d be interested in tasting more amrut juice as I was pleasantly surprised by this fusion of India and Scotland.
