Amrut Single Malt

The nose and finish have strong oak influence from the barrel. I get some vanilla, spice, and buttered popcorn on the pallet.

Peppery spicy, nice sweetness floral 1.5 Floral, spicy thick peppery, slight sweet 1.5 Peppery 1.25 1.25

One of the better Single Malt whiskies for me. It's a nice balance between a Speyside whisky and a Bourbon, though it isn't as viscous as most Bourbons. Solid stuff, though I feel I'd like this one better with a higher proof.

Scotch like - mildly peaty.

Interesting - my tongue tells me there is something strong and complex - overpowering some of the more subtle fruit and honey flavors, however I can not seem to decide what that flavor is- it’s not unpleasant- but I’m not sure I like it at the same time. Seems somewhat mysterious - but not sure I trust it. Might have to update my review if I ever get another taste of this mysterious treat.
