Angel's Envy Private Selection Single Barrel Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels

Barrel no. SB-250641 Bottle no. 46 110 Proof Tasted on distillery tour & purchased bottle April ‘26 I think this is the most tannic, black tea forward barrel I’ve had of this bourbon so far.

Review #339 Greens Farms store pick, 110 proof Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium anber. Nose: Apple, plum, raisin, vanilla. Palate: Fruit, cinnamon, baking spice. Finish: Medium length with medium heat. Splash: A mild pepper note appears. Overall: 9/10 - This was a sample that I kept from a bottle I purchased years ago and somehow never reviewed. The port barrel influence is obvious in the nose and palate. I’m generally not a big Angel’s Envy fan, but this was surprisingly good.

My favorite Angel’s to date! The color is amazing witu strong caramelized suagr and burnt toffee on the nose. Creamy mouth feel with a medium (awesome) finish!
