Reviewed August 16, 2021 (edited January 3, 2022)Heavy on the peat (as stated on the label), But not in any way sharp or course, to my tounge. Rich and straight to the point without any Bells or whistles. Perhaps a bit lacking in sofistication, but I really enjoy it, especially at this price. -

Reviewed March 6, 2021Well, there is peat - a generic kind, and very little else. It's thin, and there's so little other taste or nose that it's almost like drinking peated vodka. I bought this because it was incredibly cheap, and I won't again. There are other budget peated scotches that are much much better. -

Reviewed January 4, 2021Fantastic smoky whisky and tastes very good for a blended. My favorite bottom shelf scotch! -

Reviewed July 30, 2020Smoke, sweet, slightly sharp and rushed, but very mild! Very middle of the road, it is not much to it, but absolutely not bad for what it is. For the price, what it is, highly drinkable. Won't buy it again, only because it is not interesting. No excitement. -

Reviewed May 2, 2020A heavy amount of peat on the nose, reminds me of BBQ’s and the smell of clothes after a long weekend camping... with something else just below the smoke which I can’t quite name. Sweet cardamum, vanilla, and pepper on the palate gives way to a smokey and a bit bitter of a finish. Very good for a blended whiskey at this price point. I wasn’t expecting the peat to be as heavy as some other Islay whiskeys. -1 star: After the first day this whiskey has lost more and more of it’s peat smell. It was the best when first opened and doesn’t keep well.
