Aged RumRum that is aged, but no specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for length of aging, but will often carry an age statement (which should be taken with a grain of salt). Often thought of as "sipping rums".
Tasting Notes
"Caramel, dried tropical fruits (think pineapple and banana) along with a fair amount of barrel smoke. There's also some wax, pencil shavings, and sweet vanilla notes. The body is average weight, but feels chewy in the mouth with dry tannins abound. The finish has a decent length and is pleasant with lots of dried fruits and barrel spices. The rum is on the dry side and perfect for a nightcap as long as you don't want something sweet. "
