Reviewed August 9, 2022 (edited August 17, 2022)Purchased this on a whim, expecting something similar to French Cognac. Boy, was I wrong! This reminds me a bit more of my bottle of Lepanto PX Solera Gran Reserva! Quite rum-like, with a bit of funkiness. No idea if that's due to the grape varietals, Caucasian oak, or distillation technique, but I love it! Definitely a hidden gem at an affordable price. Don't let the 40% ABV fool you. Truly elegant, rich, thick...42.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed February 21, 2021 (edited September 30, 2023)Ararat 10 Year (Akhtamar), received as a gift set from Armenia. Sample size: 50 ml. This brandy is distilled and bottled in Armenia. 40% ABV. Aroma: fruity, sharp. Taste: moderate sweetness, dark fruit notes, plum/figs. More oak notes on the back end compared to younger expressions. Less sweetness compared to the 6 year. Its smooth but just so, I preferred the 6 year over this personally. Will definitely try again and compare in the future. Grade: B0.0 USD per Bottle
