Peatiest Islay i have ever tasted thus far. More so then one of my favorites laphroaig quarter cast. Nose: super smoky, burnt wood, fruity towards the end. Palate: peat, char. Finish: smooth, smoke, peaty would recommend for those who really like smoky whiskeys.
The peatiest, smokey islay i had. Though it resembles a lot the laphroaig quarter cask, it seamed less salty, the sea salt aspect was not as pronounced and it had a more medicine taste to it.
Overall great contender but slightly below the laphroaig
