NOSE – Sweet, light smoke, apricots, honey, and stewed apples
BODY – Gentle start and builds to a nice full finish, soft, syrupy, prunes
FINISH – Medium long finish and a fruity end
OVERALL – A nice balance between fruit, peat, and smoke! I can see why this is such a loved scotch and is a great value! This would be a nice entry for the younger pallet into the stronger Islay offerings.

Behind the smoky curtain, it mostly resembles what I imagine the Scottish land to taste like: peat, earth, grass, flowers. We normally associate nature with visual cues, but this whisky brings the full experience of raw, authentic nature.
