Ardbeg 10 Year

One of my absolute favourite Malts. Smooth Smokey complex wonderfulness. Once you know what Scotch is, this should be a House Malt. It is for me.

Peat smoke dominates the nose. The initial taste is also smoky. There are some vanilla and sweet notes that come thru to balance this out. The finish is spicy and sweet with plenty of peat. A few drops of water bring out more of the sweet notes and ease up the oily mouthfeel. I’m not a huge fan of Islay, but I could drink this regularly.
