Smells like smoked dark fruits, maybe burnt raisins, bit of bacon, bandaids, and sea air.
Dark fruit and white pepper on the palate, a hint of blackberry comes later.
Water brings out citrus note on nose.
Peat gets a little medicinal on the finish. But it all works so well together. Not a casual sipper; complex and thought provoking. To date this is the most complex scotch whisky I’ve had and probably my favorite.
