Tasted May 2, 2022Astringent, spicy, fruity, peaty, smoky, oaky, berries, peppers, ash - all at once. It does feel like a whirlpool in the mouth. Hard hitting mouth feel, lights up the taste buds but also subsides fairly quickly. The peat, smoke, and tannins linger as usual with ardbeg, but the all over mouth feel disappears quickly. Second sip is cherries, stone fruit, numbing sensation, warmth, spice - wow. Not a forgetful dram. Also, 114 proof certainly makes you perk up. Ardbeg is already my favorite distillery and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite offerings from them. It’s a punch to the senses and I love it. -

Tasted April 29, 2022Strong peaty nose. Smoky and fruity, with a bit of spice. Lingering smoky finish. Had it with ice to help cut the peat a bit. -

Tasted April 25, 2022So big and smoky and chewy. Some hint of sweetness, but loads of tobacco and leather, and delicious smoke. Love it
