Reviewed July 21, 2021 (edited October 6, 2021)BBQ smoke, black pepper, and a medicinal weediness. With some effort, I think (maybe) I can find a cantaloupe note. But it’s all a bit hot and one-dimensional, leaning heavily on the peat. Not a bad buy, but I much prefer the complexity and freshness of the ten-year at just $12 more.35.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed July 16, 2021Amazingly Smokey, meaty, briny and strong. There are hints of oak and vanilla but the overall pungent smoke and peat make this a dram fo be reckoned with. It lacks the nuance and briney/seawater/iodine finish of a Lagavulin 16 - but damn this is a good scotch!
