I'm new to Scotch but I'm starting to understand the appeal of peat.
Peat is giving me an experience that most bourbons don't. I wish Scotch was more comparable in price but I'll be keeping a few offerings at the very least on my bar.
The nose of this dram immediately brought to mind the phrase "burning hospital". The smoke and antiseptic phenols proved to be more bark than bite, as notes of caramel and a gentle warmth precedes a peaty reprisal as the finish lingers lovingly, leaving only satisfaction in its wake...
