Nose: there is a creamy savoury notes that lead into cured meats with a touch of horseradish. Palate: very soft peat and a touch of clove, apple and pear. Even some hints of menthol when water is added. A great entry level peat whisky with only hints of smoke. Great for a gift or a novice enthusiast.

Building. Worth. Magnitude. These are descriptors for an intriguing lite peat (read Earthiness) Scottish single malt that exceeds expectations.

Nice dram for the price, easy to drink, no too complex but it has its thing….vanilla, sweet, pepper, nice light peat, some citrus…

The floral aromas this whisky is known for are very present on the pallet but quickly dab off. Relatively smooth end easy to drink with a pronounced honey flavour. Nothing exceptional though, and certainly lacks that sweet’ol peated flavour I so much enjoy
