Arran 10 Year

Nose: bready and a little sweet. No bitter notes at all. Palate: a little smoke and a little sweet. Maybe some pear but it’s dull. Honestly a very bourbony scotch Finish: medium length. Sweetness lingers Overall: not bad but not amazing. There’s not much to it but it’s definitely not like any other scotch I’ve had. Definitely way more approachable for a bourbon drinker.

Soft and buttery. Stone fruits. Ginger ale. Touch of citrus. Well balanced.

Nice and full bodied. Bananas foster on the palate, with load of sautéed banana on both the nose and palate. Candied orange slices. Some turbinado sugar. Very similar to glenmorangie cadboll estate.

Pleasantly smoky with a real earthy tobacco burn at the end. Plenty of barley, mint leaf. Hints of carraway/star anise in the nose. Vanilla and caramel bulk candy. I pulled the trigger on this because I never see it on shelves. I think $15 a pour, while not excessive, isn't THE best value. Still, it's damn good, and I can't wait to do a deep dive on a bottle of I can ever find one.
