Reviewed January 3, 2021 (edited April 2, 2021)What a great nose! Vanilla, red fruit like raspberry, brown sugar, syrup. The syrupy red fruit continue into the palate with an added sherried creaminess. Pepper and sweet baking spices are the finishing notes here. -

I got bananas on the nose, which I would normally associate with a rum cask rather than a sherry one. The taste is sweet and sour, like nectarines, and the finish is tangy. Almost too sweet for my palate. -

Reviewed October 17, 2020 (edited February 12, 2022)Color: dark amber Nose: prune, caramel, honey, tanin. Palate: chili pepper is really present. Grapefruit on Tempe background. Finish: really long, with bitterness and spice. -

Palate: Bitter, dark chocolate. Raisins, cherries and dried cranberries. Caramel and slightly salty. Finish: Long finish. Oak, vanilla and caramel. 1st and 2nd fill sherry casks. A classic sherry bomb. This came joint 4th of the six whiskies tasted with 5/101 of the vote for favourite.55.0 GBP per BottleThe Good Spirits Co.
