Cinnamon-heavy banana bread. Kind of like Woodford Double Oaked.

Sweet pears & green apples. Quite nice, easy to drink, dope label, unfortunately soured by a heftier price tag coupled with a 700ml bottle.

Sweet, sweet honey. There's not a ton going on here, but it's quite sweet and easy to drink.

This is extremely pleasant to sip. Peated Balvenie is so nice they should start doing peat months. Or years.

Every now and then I'll revisit this, hoping it'll be halfway decent. Most recently from a Costco because it was $23. I loved EC12 and knew when they promised the profile would remain consistent that it would not. And it hasn't. This is young, grassy, and just not fun to drink. WT101, BT, Rittenhouse, Early times, OF100, OGD100 are all about the same price, usually less, and are much more enjoyable neat. Given my past love of Heaven Hill, this now just tastes like disappointment. I'll try another bottle in three years and, once again, hope for the best.

The cinnamon in this is a nice reminder that the wheat = sweet and rye = spicy generalization is just that. The best $18 whiskey you can buy for $50, but you really shouldn't be spending $50 on this. The new, albeit fancy, cork didn't make it taste any better.

You know, sure it's young and watery but it still tastes like bourbon and it's not terrible. At this point, I'd be happier paying $16 for this than $60 for the 10 BiB version that got popular, but not tastier, after winning an award.

Coming back to this after the first bottle I had after the change over to 116.8, which I judged quite harshly. It drinks much kinder than it did then. And it's one of the few whiskies that I think actually gets better with a bit of water. Without water it just feels like a hot 101 and is fairly uninteresting. With some water it gets much sweeter, more floral, and makes for a pretty nice dram.

Very sweet. Maple Syrup. Little bit of funk that's reminiscent of urethane. Very easy to drink. For the price, I wouldn't buy a bottle, but I'm happy with a sample.

If you told me this was Turkey, I wouldn't argue with you. It tastes like a sweeter, watered down Rare Breed. The price is ridiculous.
